Want more interior views of Maine while keeping the Slingshot's throttle happy? Travel up Route 9, more commonly known to locals as "The Airline". No, you won't outrun any of the airplanes that use this highway to guide them from below from Calais to Bangor. However, you will enjoy a healthy dose of curves and straightaways on this nearly 95 mile state highway, while stopping and shopping at the numerous "mom and pop" shops that call this route home. Do you like fresh blueberries? Route 9 has several blueberry picking fields just north of Baileyville, Maine (about 38 miles South of Calais, Maine) which by the way is just across the river from Canada. Ironically, this same Route 9 connects with Route 1 through the small towns of Robbinston, Perry , Pembroke, Machias and Lubec, Maine. This highway, also known as Route 112, is located in New Hampshire and attracts people from around the world to its 34.5 miles of infamous scenic mountain and forest views luring the most avid of "leaf peepers" every year. And yes, the "Kang" is choc full of curves and straight aways built for bikes, sports cars and your Ryyde Slingshot rental! With the Slingshot's improved independent, double wishbone suspension for 2025, forged aluminum control arms, and revised suspension tuning, the Slingshot will eat those curves for breakfast!, No Cap!!!
